Assistant Manager / Senior Executive Assistant (at the rank of Executive Officer / Clerk I) (2 posts) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref: 534948) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability satisfactory performance)

The LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) is looking for motivated and proactive individuals to join our expanding and dynamic Research Affairs Team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the operations of research centres, including budgeting, events coordination, and promotion of the centre’s achievements and expertise.
  • Organizing seminars and workshops to promote research integrity for HKUMed staff and students.
  • Coordinating research postgraduate (thesis) examinations and student-related processes.
  • Managing applications for research postgraduate student exchange and academic staff overseas research/clinical training.
  • Managing research postgraduate scholarships and student awards.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to facilitate faculty-level initiatives.


Applicants should have:

  • A good university degree and at least 5 years’ relevant administrative experience in the higher education, public, or quasi-public sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Sound organizational, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good level of IT literacy.

Prior experience in programme administration, event management, and committee support will be a distinct advantage. Applicants with less experience will be considered as Senior Executive Assistant.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
