The Faculty of Social Sciences is looking for Project Assistant (at the rank of Research Assistant II) to join the Experiential Learning team. The appointee will assist in the coordination of the Social Innovation and Global Citizenship (SIGC) Internship Video Competition and related programmes focused on student experiential learning and engagement.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Promote the Competition and SIGC programmes through social media, email campaigns, and website updates
  • Create promotional materials and liaise with potential trainers
  • Coordinate and facilitate workshops on storytelling and video editing
  • Organise mentoring sessions and manage online communication platforms for student engagement
  • Collect video submissions, support the judging process, and assist with the awards ceremony
  • Gather feedback and contribute to project evaluation and reporting

 

Requirements

 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Marketing, Event Management, Education, or a related field
  • Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Experience in video production is an advantage
  • Experience in project coordination, event management, or student support roles is preferred

 

What We Offer

 

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
