Applications are invited for appointments as Teaching Assistants (several posts) in the School of Future Media (Ref.: 536152) to commence on June 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

The appointee will support the delivery of AI and/or documentary production courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Teaching responsibilities may include programmes such as the Master of Journalism (Documentary Filmmaking Specialisation) and the Master of Arts in Creative Artificial Intelligence Film and Media. In addition to teaching, the appointee will contribute to class coordination, student advising, curriculum development, and enrichment events, which may be required to work overtime as and when necessary.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in journalism, communication or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience of proven professional and practical experience in media production or content creator.

Applicants should demonstrate strong technical proficiency in video editing, cinematography, post-production workflows, sound design, colour grading, as well as experience with generative AI tools, such as Midjourney, Nanobanana, VEO, Kling, Seedance, ElevenLabs, Suno, or similar platforms. Experience with ComfyUI configuration, workflow automation, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted content creation is highly desirable. Prior experience in tertiary-level teaching and professional media production will be a distinct advantage.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
