Senior Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Faculty of Arts (Ref.: 536311) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should hold a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience supporting senior leadership, along with experience in event planning and project management, preferably within higher education or a related field. The successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting formal correspondence, and demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workplace applications. The role requires a collaborative, proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The appointee will provide administrative support to the Dean and the Faculty Secretary, including organisation and logistical support for meetings and committee work. The appointee will demonstrate the ability to interact with academic and senior staff from across the university and members of the external public. Occasional work outside regular office hours may be required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
