Programme Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the School of Innovation (Ref.: 536619) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability).

The School of Innovation is a new interdisciplinary school at HKU dedicated to preparing students to create meaningful impact in a rapidly changing, technology-driven world. The School is preparing to launch a new Master of Science in Innovation and Technology [MSc(I&T)] programme which aims to offer a distinctive educational experience that integrates technology, human-centred innovation, strategic thinking, project-based learning, and engagement with industry and community partners.

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of full-time relevant experience, either in tertiary institutions or in other settings that value quality, professionalism, and teamwork. They should have an excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), with strong problem-solving, project management and interpersonal skills. They should be self-motivated, service-oriented, comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds, and committed to delivering a high-quality student and stakeholder experience. They should be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment. A readiness for new challenges is essential. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a taught master’s degree or who are fluent users of AI and digital productivity tools.

Reporting to the Programme Director, the appointee will play a central role in the development and operation of the new MSc(I&T) programme. The appointee will help design, document, and continuously improve programme workflows, including using AI and digital tools to enhance operations, communication, data management, student support, reporting, and service quality. In addition to the full spectrum of the MSc(I&T) programme administration, the appointee will also handle outreach and student admission, student matters, quality assurance, and financial administration. The appointee will work closely with teaching staff, professional staff, external vendors, industry and community partners, and relevant offices across the University.
