Applications are invited for the appointment as Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in the Department of Architecture (Ref.: 536757), to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and availability of funding.  The appointment rank will be determined according to qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

 

Applicants should possess a postgraduate and professional degree in the relevant field.  Preference will be given to those who have experience in teaching and practicing in a multidisciplinary, multi-scalar context, particularly in Architecture, Design and Technology.  Applicants should demonstrate an established record of teaching, research, and practice in design, creative technologies, digital fabrication, sustainable material technologies, and design entrepreneurship.

 

The primary responsibility of the appointee is to support teaching and curriculum development for the BASc(Design+) programme, with an emphasis on integrating art and technology into project design and delivery processes, engaging with creative industries, and design entrepreneurship.  Teaching assignments may include studios, lecture courses, or seminars in areas such as design, history and theory of design and technology, design thinking, sustainable material technologies, and material futures.

 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
