Executive Officer in the Staffing and Office Administration Unit of the Estates Office (Ref.: 536799)

We are looking for an Executive Officer to join the Estates Office.

The Role

The appointee will play a multi-tasking role in assisting the Administrative Assistant I to lead two teams in providing a full spectrum of Human Resources and Office Administration support to the Estates Office. He/she will also assist in organising training workshops, departmental events and meetings, reviewing office operations, streamlining workflows, implementing the e-Filing system, drafting formal proposals and reports, handling sensitive and confidential matters, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ solid administrative work experience, of which a minimum of 2 years should be at supervisory level, preferably in human resources or a related field, or in tertiary institutions;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • A good sense of tact in handling sensitive and confidential information;
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, attentive to detail, and exhibit a strong sense of responsibility and a positive, collaborative mindset; and
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Chinese word processing.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.   A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.  Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
