Research Assistant I in the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 536867)
We are looking for a Research Assistant I to join the Faculty of Dentistry.
The Role
The appointee will provide administrative support for research postgraduate education and academic research activities in the Faculty. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Programme admissions, examination and student matters;
- Logistics support for workshops, research seminars, conferences and other scholarly activities;
- Data preparation for reports related to research postgraduate education and research-related matters;
- Administrative and clerical support to the Faculty Office; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably with at least 2 years of experience in academic research, data management, clerical support or related areas;
- Good IT proficiency, including MS Word and MS Excel;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- A strong sense of responsibility, good problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills;
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team; and
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines; and
- Prior experience in tertiary institutions or the education sector is an advantage.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on full-time contract temporary terms for 1 year, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
