Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Senior Project Assistant) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 537322) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Work or other healthcare-related disciplines, with at least 2 years’ of post-qualification work experience. They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including fluency in Cantonese). They should also demonstrate strong skills in statistical analysis, data management, and project coordination, with good leadership, excellent organizational, interpersonally and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and external parties, including project funder, academic and research staff members, community stakeholders, social service groups, and other supporting teams. Experience in working with non-governmental organisations (NGOs), or working with individuals with disabilities, is highly preferred.
The appointee will work for the “Jockey Club Health Programme for Adult Persons with Disabilities” under the supervision of Professor Kelvin Wang. He/she will assist in coordinating research projects, designing and implementing research activities, analysing data, preparing scientific reports, supervising junior research-support staff, liaising with community partners and institutions, general administration, and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
