Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 537339) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is an academic research-support centre embracing multi-omics and big data biomedical research under the LKS Faculty of Medicine.  CPOS core laboratories host state-of-the-art omics technology platforms with sophisticated equipment supported by our over 70 dedicated and trained members.  Welcome to visit us https://cpos.hku.hk to explore more.

The Role

  • Assist with daily office operations, including procurement, payments, reimbursements, and invoicing
  • Manage and maintain databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Handle service and payment enquiries from internal and external parties
  • Provide customer service and support through effective written and verbal communication
  • Support events, activities, and social media administration
  • Perform various clerical and administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and correspondence management
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in advanced IT applications, including MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility, a fast learner, highly motivated and attentive to details
  • A good team player with the ability to work independently
