Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer (holding the functional title of Assistant Director/Senior Manager in Marketing and Admissions) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (several posts) (Ref: 495481) (to commence from as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal) 

To cope with its strategic development and expansion, the Faculty of Business and Economics (HKU Business School) is now seeking high caliber candidates to support marketing and promotion campaigns for its taught postgraduate programmes, including the MBA and Executive MBA programmes.  

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably a Master’s degree in business-related disciplines, with at least 3-5 years’ work experience preferably in the marketing and/or tertiary sector.  They should be strong team builders and outcomes driven professionals who are well-versed with the higher education sector in business, with good connection with the professional community and industry.  They should have a strategic thinking, innovative and effective organizational skills in initiating and executing plans to deliver expected quality outputs under tight deadlines, an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese), a high level of computer proficiency, and sound interpersonal and communication skills.  They should also have good knowledge and work experience in implementing marketing strategies, including digital marketing, be able to deliver effective presentations in recruitment fairs/information sessions to potential candidates and to engage them closely throughout the admissions to enrolment stages.  Ability to solicit high potential candidates through various channels of outreach with a focus of student diversity is definitely an advantage.   

The appointees will be responsible for the marketing and admissions for the MBA and EMBA programmes, and will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing and promotion strategies to recruit quality candidates for the Faculty’s MBA and EMBA-Global Asia, as well as other taught postgraduate programmes.  They will also be involved in reviewing applications and assess their preparedness for the MBA/EMBA-Global Asia programmes.   They may be required to work outside normal office hours during weekends, and travel frequently.  Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer.    

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
