IT Technician / Senior IT Assistant in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref: 499465) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ work experience in Information Technology (IT). They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good interpersonal skills, self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently as well as in a team, and the ability to handle multi-tasks.  They should have good knowledge of web-based platforms, web servers, web programming skills, cloud services, and multimedia editing/development. Experience in the latest eLearning/eTeaching technologies (such as Moodle, Panopto, Adobe Connect, Zoom VC) will be an advantage. Those with less experience or lower qualifications may be appointed as Senior IT Assistant. 

The appointee will provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting to students and staff for the use of HKU Portal resources. He/She will assist in the following areas: i) PC configuration and troubleshooting; ii) applications and classroom support; iii) curriculum innovation support; and iv) implementation of IT security and data privacy measures. Ad-hoc IT/event support outside normal office hours may be required occasionally.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
