Applications are invited for the following posts in the Faculty of Business and Economics:
(1) IT Officer (posts a & b) (Ref.: 499815) & (2) IT Technician (Ref.: 499813) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
For post (1a), applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or other related disciplines, with a minimum of 4 years’ solid programming and system development experience, preferably with knowledge of either PHP/MySQL or ASP.NET/MS-SQL, as well as web technologies including HTML5, CCS3 and JQuery. Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Client Relationship Management Software (CRM) and Building Information Management System (BIM) would be in advantage. The appointee will play an important role in in-house design, development and maintenance of websites, web applications and office automation applications. He/She will work independently and effectively to collect requirements, support user acceptance test (UAT) and provide training. He/She will also coordinate and liaise with external vendors for application development in order to define the functional specifications and ensure the quality of deliverables, and perform other duties as assigned.
For post (1b), applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Digital Communication, Media Studies or related disciplines; with a minimum of 4 years’ solid work experience in the field related to multimedia. Proficiency in using Adobe Premiere Pro (or other similar video editing tools), UNITY, and MS Office is required. Proven skills in creative storyboarding, videography and motion graphics are expected. The appointee is expected to produce digital products or coordinate projects that may involve, but not limited to, audio-visual productions, digital media planning, mobile apps development; and perform other duties as assigned.
For post (2), applicants should have completed Form 5, with 5 passes in HKCEE or combination of specialized training, education and a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in the field related to multimedia. Proficiency in video-shooting, Adobe Premiere Pro (or other similar video editing tools) and UNITY is required. Proven skills in videography and motion graphics are expected. The appointee is expected to provide support in audio-visual and digital productions, and perform other duties as assigned. Those with less experience may be considered for the appointment as IT Assistant.
All appointees should also process a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, friendly interpersonal skills, self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and a good team member, and the ability for multi-tasking and delivering satisfactory results within tight timeframe.
