Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is an academic research-support centre comprising strategic research programs and various core laboratories under the management of the LKS Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. We are undergoing rapid expansion and seeking various talents. The CPOS core laboratories host state-of-the-art omics technology platforms. With a team of researchers and more than 60 highly trained and dedicated staff, we aim to facilitate and support omics research in Hong Kong and the region by developing expertise and infrastructure. Applicants should have a Master’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related discipline, with at least 2 years’ relevant laboratory work experience. They should have a strong passion in science and technologies; a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English; and competency in MS Office applications. They should also be self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, meticulous; and enjoy team work. Working knowledge of our existing technology platforms and/or laboratory accreditation, and holder of Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) Part I/II license issued by HKMLT Board would be advantageous. Those with less experience or qualifications may be appointed as Technical Officer. The appointees will operate sophisticated scientific instruments to support core service and research in the Genomics and Biobank Cores. They will liaise with clients to coordinate service logistics, provide technical advice, and evaluate and validate new technologies.
