Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 503269) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in public health, biomedical sciences, microbiology, biotechnology, molecular biology, or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ work experience. They should have a strong sense of responsibility, curiosity for science, independent thinking, and the ability to work in a team. Knowledge of molecular biology techniques and experience in handling microbial pathogens at Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) would be advantages. The appointee will work in the laboratory and in the field to study the transmission and pathogenesis of influenza and SARS-CoV-2 viruses. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I/II.
