Full-time/Part-time Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II (holding the functional title of Programmer) (2 posts) in the Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (2 posts) (Ref.: 503455) (to commence as soon as possible until August 31, 2021)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline; excellent knowledge of modern web-based technologies; good programming skills with PHP using Laravel framework as backend and React as frontend respectively; and 3 years’ hands-on experience in Docker and system administration of web server. A background in customization/development of open-source software is a definite advantage. Priority will be given to those who have experience in developing software independently with links to samples/repository of previous works (e.g. GitHub link) included in their C.V. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I/II.

The appointees will be responsible for developing a suite of technologies to support learning design and learning analytics for teachers, including but not limited to a version of the Learning Design Studio platform. He/She will also be involved in requirement engineering with stakeholders, provide technical support to different users (e.g. team members, teachers and students) on using the suite of technologies, and create user/developer documentation.
