IT Officer in the Information Technology Services (Ref.: 503868) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary; or on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline; a good command of written and spoken English; and good communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Those with post-qualification experience in IT services such as IT system design and development; experience in coordinating and supporting IT business processes; or skills and project experience in Oracle PeopleSoft or student information systems are preferred. Knowledge of Oracle database, PL/SQL, Java, HTML5, Unix, and native/hybrid mobile app development (Framework 7, Vue.js, Cordova, Objective C, Swift, etc.); and certification in ITIL v3/4 and PRINCE2 would be definite advantages. High-calibre fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
The appointee will be responsible for user requirement analysis, software development, support and maintenance of quality IT services for student information management and related business processes of the University, and liaising with the administrative offices and department users in the University.
