Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant) (2 posts) in the Faculty of Arts (Ref.: 515088) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ work experience in financial management in tertiary education institutions. They should have sound accounting and/or data analysis skills. Knowledge in data management would be a definite advantage. They are expected to have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good communication and problem-solving skills, strong IT capabilities in Microsoft Office (especially in Excel), PC and software applications. They should also have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines, and be able to work independently and be attentive to details.
The appointees will assist in financial matters at the Faculty and Schools levels including but not limited to the budgetary control, organising financial data, undertaking data analysis, preparing financial statements and reports, processing of payment invoices and purchase orders, data input, and perform other duties as assigned. Those with less experience and/or lower qualifications may be considered for the position of Clerk II. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
