Senior Technical Officer in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 516917) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in biomedical sciences or related disciplines, with at least 2 years’ working experience with influenza or SARS-CoV-2 viruses. Excellent skills and knowledge of virology and molecular biology are essential. Preference will be given to those with experience in conducting virology research in the biosafety level 3 laboratory. The appointee will work on research projects on influenza virus and/or SARS-CoV-2. He/She will participate in research planning and implementation, train and supervise junior research staff and postgraduate students, assist in laboratory management, prepare reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
