Phlebotomist (at the rank of Senior Laboratory Assistant) (Several Posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 519606) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have completed Form 5 or above with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and be a registered phlebotomist in Hong Kong. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluent Cantonese and Mandarin is a plus) and IT proficiency. They should be organized, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Experience in community-based research studies is highly preferred.
The appointee will assist in a range of ongoing community field studies on infectious disease epidemiology and/or vaccine trials. He/She will perform venipuncture, assist in participant recruitment and follow-up activities, and perform other duties as assigned. Irregular working hours may be required occasionally. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
