Executive Officer/Clerk I in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 519791) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ full-time relevant work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and good interpersonal, organisational skills and computer literacy. They should be able to multitask under pressure and work independently as well as in a team. A strong number sense would be an advantage. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerk I.
The appointee will assist in handling financial accounting matters for a busy research team and perform executive duties in financial accounting and research project account management. He/She will prepare timesheet and payroll; process invoices and purchase orders; and monitor budgetary control matters and international research grants. He/She will work closely with internal stakeholders to provide administrative, human resources and event management support to the research team, and perform other duties as assigned.

The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
