Assistant Research Officer/Post-doctoral Fellow (ARO/PDF) (several posts) in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 519792) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis, or a two-year temporary basis (for PDF)/fixed-term basis (for ARO), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in medical science, public health or related disciplines with proven knowledge of both biological and social sciences. They should have substantial experience in statistical analysis and laboratory research; an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online survey tools; and good problem-solving, communication, organization and administrative skills. They should be self-motivated, highly committed, and able to work independently as well as a team. The appointees will participate in molecular/cellular-based and cohort studies. They will assist in managing research projects; prepare scientific publications, grant proposals and reports; perform data analysis; provide general administrative and operational support; liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders; and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. For ARO, the appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
