Part-time Student Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Project Assistant) in the Faculty of Education (several posts) (Ref.: 526018) (to commence as soon as possible until April 30, 2024 on a temporary term)

Applicants should be undergraduate students. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and/or Chinese (Cantonese/Putonghua) and capability in one or more of the following areas: (1) experience in working with seniors and children; (2) conducting interviews and preparing transcription; (3) processing statistics (especially SPSS); and (4) conducting data analysis (especially NVivo & SPSS). Applicants who are native English speakers (including but not limited to IB students) or native Cantonese speakers with excellent writing or translation skills (e.g., from English to Chinese) are preferred but not necessary.  

The appointees will be invited to provide assistance in events in-person and online, including public education seminars and workshops, assist seniors in conducting lessons at kindergarten/ primary school across different districts in Hong Kong, design graphics for promotional materials, conduct interviews, collect and analyze data, conduct transcription, and translation, and perform other duties as assigned.  Experience is an advantage but not required.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary part-time basis until April 30, 2024. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
