Applications are invited for appointment as full-time or part-time Psychologist (holding the functional title of Clinical Psychologist)/ Counsellor in the Counselling and Person Enrichment Section of the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref.:526167), to commence as soon as possible.

Applicants for the post of Clinical Psychologist should have a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. Fresh graduates (for 2023/24) from recognized clinical psychology programmes will also be considered. Applicants should be eligible for membership of the relevant professional bodies and possess experience in providing psychological services to adolescents and young adults. Those with (1) a Master’s degree in Counselling, Social Work, or a related practicing discipline with at least 3 years’ relevant post-degree experience; or (2) a Bachelor’s degree in the abovementioned disciplines with at least 5 years’ relevant post-degree experience may be considered for appointment as Counsellor. Fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua is a must. 

The appointees will work under an energetic and well-supported team, serving students from a diverse background covering all Faculties in the University. They will conduct counselling or psychological assessment and intervention, offer consultation, manage crisis, provide staff training, and conduct person enrichment programmes. They will also actively participate in promoting mental health and psychosocial well-being through various means. Our professional team is composed of Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologist, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapist and Student Advising Officers. The appointees will also collaborate with the student support personnel at CEDARS, and other University staff to reach out to our students. Continuous professional development to develop expertise through formal and informal supervision, as well as other training opportunities will be supported.
