Part-time Student Research Assistant at the Speech, Language and Reading Lab in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 526196) (to commence as soon as possible for four to five months)
The Speech, Language and Reading Lab (https://slrlab.edu.hku.hk/) at the University of Hong Kong is seeking applicants for the role of part-time Student Research Assistant who are interested in using computational methods to investigate human memories and behaviors.
Applicants should be undergraduate or postgraduate students in Mathematics, Psychology, Linguistics, Education, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, or a related discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English or Chinese. They should be proficient in programming, with strong skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, or C#.
The appointee will work closely with the Project Investigator to develop a computational model for modelling human memory systems and learning behaviors. The appointee will be responsible for conducting project-related activities such as literature review, model simulation, data analysis, and other duties as assigned.
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary part-time basis. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
