Part-time Research Assistant II at the Speech, Language and Reading Lab in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 526197) (to commence as soon as possible for four to five months)
The Speech, Language and Reading Lab (https://slrlab.edu.hku.hk/) at the University of Hong Kong is seeking applicants for the role of part-time Research Assistant II who are interested in using computational methods to investigate human memories and behaviors.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Mathematics, Psychology, Linguistics, Education, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, or a related discipline. They should have 1) a good command of written and spoken English or Chinese, and 2) good interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. They should be proficient in programming, with strong skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, or C#. Postgraduate students are welcome to apply.
The appointee will work closely with the Project Investigator to develop a computational model for modelling human memory systems and learning behaviors. The appointee will be responsible for coordinating and conducting project-related activities such as literature review, model simulation, data analysis, and other duties as assigned.
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary part-time basis. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
