Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526411), to commence as soon as possible for one year on temporary term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or an M.Phil. degree or equivalent in Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science or other related disciplines in Life Science, with at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience. Those without relevant experience may be considered for the post of Research Assistant II. Knowledge in molecular oncology, cancer immunology and bioinformatics, and technical skills in animal model studies and tumor organoid culture would be distinct advantages. The candidates should be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, exhibit good interpersonal and organizational skills, and be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility, as well as be able to work independently and as a team.

The appointees will be responsible for in vitro and in vivo experiments, literature review, data analysis and report drafting in a primary research project focusing on exceptional responder gene-drug sensitivity. He/She will also assist in other multidisciplinary collaborative research projects, and perform other duties as assigned. The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
