IT Officer /IT Technician for Web & Mobility Technologies Team in the Information Technology Services (Ref.: 526412)
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides central IT services to support the University’s teaching, learning, research and administrative activities. We are seeking high caliber IT talents to join us to provide top-notch IT services for our Web & Mobility Technologies Team.
The Role
The appointee will be responsible for
- Implementing and maintaining DevSecOps infrastructure and tools for source code management and automated deployment
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Assisting the adoption of DevSecOps by development teams
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline; a good command of written and spoken English; and good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. They should also have good knowledge of and relevant experience in some of the following areas:
- Automation tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Ansible, GitLab)
- Test automation (JUnit, Selenium, Playwright, Locust, Puppeteer)
- Security tools (e.g. HCL App Scan, Tenable, SonarCloud)
- Containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Agile tools (e.g. Jira)
- Knowledge of programming languages and environments (Java, Tomcat, Oracle PL/SQL, Azure cloud, Microsoft Power Platform)
- Experience in web and mobile programming is a plus
Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as IT Technician.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
