Executive Officer in the University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG) (Ref.: 526519)(on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary)

 

We are looking for an Executive Officer to provide administrative support for the development UMAG.

 

The Role

Reporting to the Museum Director, the appointee will provide a full spectrum of administrative and secretarial support to the Museum Office. He/She will perform Human Resources and Finance-related administrative tasks for the Museum and Taught Postgraduate Programme, assist in the day-to-day management of UMAG and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A good Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree;
  • Not less than 2 years’ experience in administration / Human Resources /Financial matters management;
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese;
  • Professional skills and attributes to perform specialized duties such as IT proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of HKU Portal and relevant administrative systems would be an advantage;
  • Meticulous attention to details and good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently without close supervision;
  • Good organizational skill, strong sense of ownership and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong interpersonal skill and a self-starter with a positive attitude;
  • A good team player who can collaborate with different internal and external stakeholders of the University.

 

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
