Director/Assistant Director of Marketing and Admissions, Taught Postgraduate Programmes (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I/II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 526641) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should have a good bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably a master’s degree in business-related disciplines, with around 12 years of work experience (out of which at least 5 years in team leader position).  They should be strong team builders and outcome-driven leaders who have effective organizational skills in initiating and executing plans to deliver expected quality outputs under tight deadlines; an outstanding command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese)as well as sound interpersonal and communication skills to conduct presentations and information sessions, and interact with various stakeholders.  A good understanding of the business field in the higher education sector, along with the ability to build partnerships will definitely be an advantage.  Applicants with management/ marketing/ admissions experience in the tertiary education will also be preferred.

The appointees will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and admissions strategies for all MBA and Masters programmes portfolio and leading the team to deliver admissions target numbers along with a diverse student body.  They are also expected to oversee the student services and alumni matters of MSc programmes and overseeing the entire admissions exercise and execute an effective marketing outreach plan; managing the marketing budget and application pipelines; and supervising the team to effectively deliver social media platform strategies, developing marketing collaterals, managing programme websites and building strong brand equity.  Frequent travelling and working on weekends may be required as information sessions, events and applicant engagement activities will form a major part of the responsibilities.  Those with less experience and/or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Administrative Assistant II.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.   The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary for Administrative Assistant I and 10% of basic salary for Administrative Assistant II.
