Assistant Lecturer (holding the title of Curriculum Development Officer) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 527116) (to commence on 1 September 2024 until 31 August 2025, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in English Language, Education or a related discipline, a professional teaching qualification, and 5 years’ post-qualification experience working with schools on English curriculum development, particularly in the areas of new literacies, multimodality and assessment. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and good computer skills in editing videos, audios, images, eBooks, or infographics.  Experience in teacher training and conducting educational research will be an advantage.  

The appointee will work on a Quality Education Fund (QEF) project on enhancing multimodal assessment literacy of teachers in primary/secondary schools.  He/She will work closely with the project schools and teachers to provide the necessary support for developing/adapting materials and employing different multimodal assessment strategies which suit the needs of the schools, assist in running professional development workshops for teachers, visit schools and meet with teachers regularly, and coordinate sharing among project schools.
