Assistant Research Officer in Department of Law (Ref.:527128 ) (to commence from September 2024 for two years)

 

The Department of Law is seeking an Assistant Research Officer to commence from September 2024. This position is a two-year fixed-term appointment, offering contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary. There is a possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.


Applicants should possess a Masters degree or above in law, with at least seven years’ experience in project management and developing knowledge exchange events for lawyers and scholars from mainland China. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  Strong leadership and management skills, excellent coordination, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

 
The appointee is expected to conduct research on China law projects, collaborating with lawyers and scholars from mainland China. The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in implementing and overseeing projects.  He/She will be responsible for developing Chinese law training sessions, managing project performance, and communicating with local, regional and international collaborators, and performing other duties as assigned.
