Research Assistant I in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 527213)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team on research projects related to gastrointestinal and hepatology disease areas
  • Manage clinical trial projects, including subject recruitment, data collection, conduct assessment on subjects
  • May need to process human stool samples and handle other biological specimens
  • Involves in gut microbiota statistical analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in life science, biomedical science, public health or health-related disciplines
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • A strong sense of responsibility
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese)
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Experience on research studies is highly desirable

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
