Assistant Director, TPg Career Development and Training (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 527234) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance) 

Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree, preferably a master’s degree, with at least 10 years’ of full-time work experience in the field of talent acquisition, recruitment, student career advising or related fields. They should possess excellent command of written and spoken English and Putonghua, high proficiency level in Microsoft office, strong organisational, communication, project management and problem-solving skills, and be capable of working independently. They should excel in teamwork, attentive to details with the ability to handle multiple tasks. A strong company network and solid understanding of the recruitment market in Mainland China would be a distinct advantage.

The appointee will be responsible for career development and training of taught postgraduate (TPg) programmes, and will provide career-related services to TPg students. He/She is expected to work closely with students to provide career coaching and training activities, with a passion for advising students, building, and fostering strong relationships with hiring partners and external coaches/mentors/training providers. Engaging corporate partners for placement of students is one of the most critical requirements. He/She will also engage in organising various career-oriented events (such as career fairs, company visits, employer networking sessions, etc.), and perform ad-hoc duties as assigned. The appointee will work at the Faculty’s Cyberport campus, and may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends.
