Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering (Ref.: 527268), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for establishing a generative AI-based engine and developing interfaces to collect and cleanse operation data. The appointee will work under the supervision of Dr. Jintao Ke.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related field. They must be able to commit to full-time employment without any other concurrent employment obligations.

The following skills and experience are expected:

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and C++.
  • Experience in developing AI-based systems and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing techniques
  • Good Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control and agile software development.
  • Relevant front-end and back-end project development work experience is a plus.

Applicants must be prepared to dedicate themselves fully to this position and refrain from engaging in any other concurrent employment obligations.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
