Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in School of Public Health (Ref no. 528748) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in science, biology, medical science or related disciplines, with laboratory experience in cell culture, virology, and/or immunology. They must have a good command of written and spoken English. They should be a self-motivated and an organized team player. Experience in influenza virology is desirable but not essential.
The appointees will work in the laboratory under the supervision of Professor Mark Zanin to study the pathogenesis and transmission of influenza viruses. They will manage and maintain the operations of the laboratory, conduct experiments, assist in training new members, and perform other duties as assigned.
