Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 529984), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in bioinformatics, virology, biological/biomedical sciences, animal sciences, or a related discipline with previous full-time work experience. They should have a sound track-record of publications in the related disciplines. They should also have effective communication skills, a strong interest in working closely with virologists and clinicians, be highly motivated, independent, and able to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment. The appointee will be involved in research projects related to emerging viral pathogens under the supervision of Dr. Hin Chu. Enquiries about the post can be sent to the Department at hinchu@hku.hk.
