Secretary II in the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 530071) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a field related to medicine and education. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good IT knowledge and competence in office applications including Chinese word processing; strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills; and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. They should be self-motivated, attentive to details, and able to handle multi-tasks efficiently to produce quality outputs under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Those who have received formal secretarial training will have an advantage. 

The appointee will provide executive and secretarial support to senior professoriate and clinical staff; handle correspondences with complete independence; coordinate meetings, overseas trips and events; assist in organizing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, research and scholarships; process finance matters; and perform other duties as assigned.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or a written test. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
