Analyst Programmer (at the rank of IT Officer) in the Clinical Trials Centre (Ref.: 530232)

The Clinical Trials Centre (HKU-CTC) is a leading clinical trials management platform established under the University of Hong Kong LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) and is dedicated to managing and facilitating international-standard clinical trials on new drugs, medical devices and medical technologies.  HKU-CTC offers long-term development opportunities to passionate talents who pursue career advancement and success.

We are seeking a high calibre programming professional to join our Information Technology Unit as an Analyst Programmer.  Fresh graduates or applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as a Programmer.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in project tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and technical issues are resolved;
  • Design and develop software solutions while managing databases and providing technical support;
  • Analyze user requirements to ensure alignment with software functionality and develop prototypes as needed; and
  • Ensure quality through documentation, code reviews, and participation in testing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or IT related disciplines;
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience;
  • Solid skills in C# and ASP.NET MVC;
  • Hands-on experience in modern web/mobile technologies such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and JavaScript;
  • Proactive in learning new technologies and tools;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese;
  • Detail-minded, self-motivated and able to work as a good team player with positive service attitude.

The appointment will be made on a two-year fixed-term full-time contract, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.  Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
