Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref. 530276) (to commence on 1 December 2024, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a master’s degree with a strong record of teaching and supervision in higher education. Individuals with professional licensure or registration in Social Work, Counselling, Clinical Psychology, Community Psychology, or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience in developing community-based programs or interventions and conducting community-based research is highly desirable. The appointee will be responsible for teaching, supervision, and program administration at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels with good knowledge of tertiary education philosophies and pedagogies.

A significant portion of the role involves coordinating final-year capstone projects within the undergraduate curriculum, which includes liaising between programs and community partners, establishing connections with potential community partners, and overseeing supervisory team meetings. Additionally, the appointee is expected to be proactive in practice research and educational innovations and may require working outside working hours.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
