Executive Officer/Clerk I (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant) in the School of Humanities, Philosophy (Ref.: 530406) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totally up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of solid work experience, preferably in career counselling, student internships, and/or event management in a tertiary institution. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; as well as high proficiency in computer literacy. They should be independent, self-motivated, attentive to details, and have the ability to multi-task. Good knowledge of local labour market trends and employment in Hong Kong and overseas is highly preferred. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience will be considered for appointment as Clerk I.
The appointee will be responsible for:
a) developing and implementing a range of career development and employment support programmes, including career training workshops, coaching, internships, graduate employment, summer school programmes, newsletter and related publicity initiatives.
b) building and maintaining relationships with local and overseas employers, industry professionals, and community organizations to expand internship and employment opportunities for students and alumni.
c) organizing both online and offline activities, such as alumni events and mentorship programmes, to engage teachers, students, alumni, and employers.
d) executing strategic projects and preparing reports and presentations to demonstrate the effectiveness of the programmes and initiatives.
e) performing other duties as assigned.
