Programme Officer (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Cultural Management Office (Ref.: 530628)
The Role
The appointee will assist with daily administrative and finance operations, and coordinate logistical arrangements for cultural performances and projects, including programme planning, scheduling, production, venue operations, event coordination, artist servicing, travel and accommodation arrangements, visa applications, performance licenses. The role involves liaising with artist managers, presenters, other internal departments, as well as addressing venue booking inquiries and coordinating logistics for external hirers. The appointee is required to work in flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary. The appointee will also be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
- A Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated musical knowledge and a deep passion for music;
- Relevant work experience in arts organisations;
- A strong sense of responsibility;
- An outstanding command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
- An understanding of office administration and finance;
- IT proficiency;
- Self-motivated, with good interpersonal and organisational skills;
- Attentive to details, capable of multitasking, and able to work independently and under pressure; and
- Experience with finance systems is a plus.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
