Senior Research Assistant (holding a functional title of Clinical Research Coordinator) in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health (Ref.: 530756) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in public health, medical or health sciences, or related disciplines, and at least 3 years’ working experience in community-based research projects. They should be highly motivated and adaptable, have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, strong sense of responsibility, and team management skills. They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and basic Putonghua) and English. Experience in project and stakeholder management within the health and social welfare domains in the local context would be an advantage.
The appointee will contribute to community-based studies of the epidemiology and transmission of respiratory virus infections in elderly care homes, schools, and other settings. He/She will oversee and manage operations of the projects, liaise with collaborators and other project stakeholders, lead research assistants to implement the projects, and carry out other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
