The School of Public Health houses 6 academic divisions with around 300 staff. Our General Office is looking for full-time Senior Clerk / Executive Officer (several posts) (Ref: 531350) to provide administrative support to the operations of the School.

The Role

 The appointees will mainly support and oversee the following functions:

  • accounting (e.g., reimbursement, expense reports, cash advance report, cost adjustment, coupon checking);
  • procurement (e.g., data entry, vendor sourcing, negotiation);
  • HR (e.g., recruitment, appointment, onboarding and departure, leave administration);
  • research administration, support event and visit programme;
  • supervise junior team members, and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Qualities 

  • Minimum Level 2 in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, OR 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, and a minimum 5 years’ work experience in human resources, financial management, office or research administration; or a good Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 3 years’ work experience in human resources, financial management, office or research administration;
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and Chinese, and a good sense with numbers;
  • Proficiency with MS Office, database management, and other productivity software;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous, organized and reliable; mature with good interpersonal skills; a good team player as well as a self-starter with a positive attitude;
  • Familiarization with administration in Higher Education institutions and experience with Oracle Financials is highly preferred.

What We Offer 

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
