Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Research Assistant (SRA) in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.:531592) to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis for SRA, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants for Senior Research Assistant should possess a Master’s degree or above in Gerontology, Psychology, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Statistics, or a related discipline with at least 3-year post-qualification experience. Previous work experience in big data analysis, managing large databases of research projects relating to family caregivers of older adults and/or cost effectiveness evaluation, and with related track records of academic publication is advantageous. They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English, advanced knowledge and experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) and MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), and good interpersonal and organizational skills.
The appointees will work in a multidisciplinary team with local and international experts to conduct high-impact research related to family caregivers of older adults, and will be responsible for data management, advanced data analysis, mentoring junior research staff, liaison with project partners and collaborators, and performing other duties as assigned.
