Nursing Officer in the Centre of Assisted Reproduction and Embryology of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref: 531725) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should be registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong or possess equivalent qualification, with at least 5 years’ post-registration experience. A Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s degree in a nursing-related discipline is highly desirable. Those with experience in assisted reproduction would have an advantage. They should show leadership and management skills in a team environment, and demonstrate excellent nursing standards. They should also have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, and good computer knowledge including word processing.
The appointee will be responsible for (i) the management and other general nursing activities in the assisted reproduction programme at the University’s teaching hospitals; (ii) providing training to staff in the unit; (iii) co-ordinating the conduct of clinical research studies and supervising research nurses in their work; (iv) leading quality assurance activities; and (v) contributing to continuous professional development activities for staff in the related field. Working outside normal office hours and on weekends may be required as per operational needs.
