Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Student Wellness Team of the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 531821) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a good university degree, preferably in the area of mental health, such as Psychology, Counselling and Social Work, with at least 3-5 years’ work experience in the education/social services sector, preferably in student wellness, counselling, youth development, social work or project management. They should be mature, meticulous, personable, and self-motivated. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; excellent communication, organization and people skills; and the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The appointee will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of the Student Wellness Centre, as well as providing coaching to junior staff. He/she will provide administrative support to the Student Wellness Team and assist in developing in-person and virtual student engagement and wellness initiatives, including but not limited to peer supporter programme, mental first-aid programme, and various other events and activities that promote resilience and mental wellbeing.

Applicants should have strong student-service mindset and event management experience, be responsible for maintaining proactive communications to students via all appropriate means. They are required to plan and implement events, projects and programmes related to the wellbeing of undergraduate students. He/She should be able to provide strong administrative support to counselling services and office operations of the Student Wellness Team and be passionate about working with university students. The appointee will need to maintain flexibility to perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned in support of the Faculty's mission, core values and goals. Working outside of office hours may occasionally be required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.
