Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref.: 531828) (to commence as soon as possible for six months to one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree. The appointees will assist in the “Generative DfX in high-rise modular building: An expert-augmented cascade graph learning and optimisation approach” research project under the Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) and “Healthy and Resilient City with Pervasive LoCHs” research project under the Theme-based Research Scheme (TRS) supported by the Research Grants Council (RGC). The appointees will 1. participate in developing a generative design platform for modular buildings using the Unity platform; 2. participate in developing a generative design platform for urban cool spaces using the Unity platform; and 3. assist in other ad hoc tasks.
We are looking for candidates with:
1. academic backgrounds in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, or other related subjects
2. strong interest in research related to generative design and game development; and
3. skills in platform development software such as Unity and common development languages such as C#, Javascript, and Python.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for six months to one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
