Administrative Assistant II (2 posts) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 534406)
We are looking for high calibre candidates to join the HR team of the LKS Faculty of Medicine at the rank of Administrative Assistant II to provide administrative support in relation to human resources operations.
The Role
The appointees will play a key role in (i) providing high-level support to the administration of academic staff appointments, tenure/promotion exercises and other personnel matters (including but not limited to reviewing submission of documents to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, drafting recommendations to approving authorities at the University level, etc.); (ii) liaising with internal stakeholders, including academic staff, administrative offices, and other departments, to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication; and (iii) maintaining internal filing and record systems to support human resources operations and decision-making processes. They are also expected to supervise assigned clerical staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
- A recognized Bachelor’s degree;
- At least 5 years’ supervisory experience in the higher education sector of a public/quasi-public organization;
- An excellent command of written and spoken English (with an overall band score of at least 7.5 in IELTS or equivalent) and Chinese;
- Exceptional communication, organizational and problem-solving skills;
- An appropriate level of IT skills;
- A good sense of tact in handling sensitive and confidential information;
- Ability to manage a competing set of priorities and work to deadlines; and
- A demonstrated capacity to work independently and take initiatives.

What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at10% of basic salary.
