Student Advising Officer in the Student Wellness Team in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 534611) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in a mental health discipline (i.e. Counselling, Social Work, or Counselling Psychology), with at least 3 years’ post-qualification work experience preferably in tertiary education sector or other mental health agencies. Evidence of providing bi/multilingual service in English and Cantonese, and running wellness or outreach programmes is essential. Passion to work with youth and young adults, with the experience in working with high achieving populations are advantages.
The appointee will mainly be responsible for the coordination and the delivery of programmes, trainings, events and/or other mental health initiatives. He/She will develop priorities and goals in support of student wellbeing/ wellness promotion. He/She will also provide individual and group counselling, crisis intervention and walk-in services as appropriate under supervision. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
